National Highway 23 Route:
Chas - Peterbar - Gola - Chittaurpur - Ramgarh - Ormanjhi - Ranchi - Nagri - Bero - Bharno - Sisai - Gumla - Kolebira - Biru - Tamra - Simdega - Thethaitangar - Birmitrapur - Kuanrmunda - Panposh - Banki - Chandiposh - Darjing - Banel - Barakot - Pala Laharaha - Khamar - Sipur - Samal - Talcher - Nuahata
National Highway 23 takes its origin on National Highway 32 at Chas. It then runs westwards, meets National Highway 33 at Ramgarh, passes past Ranchi and Sisai, and turns south-bound at Gumla to eventually leave Jharkhand at Targa. In Orissa, it runs through Rourkela and Barakot before ending at the junction with National Highway 42 near Talcher. Panposh, Bonaigarh and Khamar are some tourist spots lying along this highway.
