Dougall Avenue (Windsor, Ontario)
Named after James Dougall, one of the early settlers and property-owners in Windsor. Waged a famous political battle against the City of Windsor over his ownership of Dieppe Gardens (the city wanted to sieze it to give to Grand Trunk and Western Railway, now today's CN Rail, in 1854), but he retained his property, thanks to vehement public support.
Formerly Windsor Street, renamed at a point before the Second World War.
