Zelenyi Klyn (Green Wedge, Green Ukraine, Zakytaishchyna) — the historical Ukrainian name for the territory of the Amur region (Outer Manchuria) — the southern part of the Far East, in the lower part of the Amur River and above the Pacific Ocean; with an area of about 1 million km².
According to the 1926 census, 303,000 Ukrainians (out of 315,000 of all Far Eastern Ukrainians), or 24.5% of the entire Far Eastern population, lived in Zeleny Klyn. During the existence of the USSR, the Ukrainian population of the region was subjected to mass deportations and Russification.
