Silver Street (Cambridge)
A narrow street once the home of the Cambridge's silversmiths. Silver Street's name is derived from its occupation by silversmiths from as early as 1798 according to William Custance's map. The street's line has changed little since the C16 when buildings bordered both sides of the street as far as the bridge.
