North Lincoln Avenue

Lincoln Avenue was an original Indian Trail running along a ridge in the usually soggy ground of pre-settlement Chicago. Later European's named the road Little Fort Road as it continued on to town of Little Fort, now known as Waukegan. The name Lincoln Ave was used after the death of President Abraham Lincoln.
