TEXAS 6 / TEXAS State Loop 340

Texas State Highway 6 starts at the Oklahoma border near the Texas panhandle north of Quanah. It runs southward crossing US 70 and US 82/SH 114. It crosses US 380 then goes through Stamford and joins US 180 until Albany. It crosses Interstate 20 at Cisco, then turns southeast and goes around Waco. It passes through Bryan and College Station, then joins US 290 until the outskirts of Houston. It runs on the west side of Houston, through Alvin and ends at Interstate 45 north of the Galveston Causeway.

Texas State Loop 340 starts concurrent with TX 6 on the south side of Waco. It begins at US Highway 84 heading southeast. It makes a loop around the east side of the city and ends at the intersection of Business US 77-L and FM 3051 on the north side of Waco.
