Interstate 70 runs for over 2200 miles from a park and ride lot east of I-695 in Baltimore, MD to Cove Fort, UT . The first interstate constructed was of I-70 in Missouri. In Breezewood, PA, there are traffic lights on I-70.

I-70 was supposed to start at I-90, but strong neighborhood opposition stopped it from intersecting there, so I-70 currently begins at a park and ride lot. It continues through Pennsylvania and St. Louis, MO. From there, it treks west through Kansas and Colorado ending at Interstate 15 near Cove Fort, UT.

US Highway 24 crosses the country from Clarkston, MI (I-75 exit 93), to Toledo, OH (where signage changes to north-south), then to Minturn, CO (I-70 exit 171). From just past Pontiac, MI at Interstate 75 US 24 runs south to Toledo, OH, then turns west through Peoria, IL and Kansas. It continues across the plains of Colorado ending in Minturn (about five miles west of Vail).
