JAYASWALS NECO INDUSTRIES LIMITED - ENGINEERING CASTING DIVISION (ECD)

ECD was commissioned in 1985 and has been the largest supplier of Railway Insert Castings, required for concrete sleepers in the country. Lately, the unit has emerged as a major supplier of Ductile Iron Castings, both for the domestic as well as export market. Exports include supply of Ductile Iron fittings for potable Water Supply systems, especially for South Africa and USA.

ECD is also supplying Ductile Iron components to the Automobile (Truck, Cars) and Tractor Industries. Currently, it is the supplier of OEM parts to TELCO, Ashok Leyland, Brakes India, Automotive Axles etc. for Automobile / Trucks etc. These castings are now being machined before despatch. In addition to its Iron Casting foundry, the company set up a Steel Casting plant equipped with ARPA / WBQ3 moulding machines and Induction melting facilities for the manufacture of high grade Steel Castings, specializing in Valves and Railway Wagon Castings. A strict Quality Control regime ensures ‘Zero’ defect at the customer’s end.

The company has excellent facilities for manufacturing Iron and Steel Castings in Green Sand, CO2 Sand, No-Bake Resin Sand, Induction melting furnace, mechanized sand plant, mechanized moulding systems and fully equipped pattern shop, as well as fully equipped mechanical, physical and metallurgical testing laboratories. All chemical compositions are checked in ARL Vacuum Direct Reading Spectrometer.

The Steel Division has installed an automated No-Bake Moulding Line for manufacturing sophisticated Steel Castings imported from IMF, Italy. ECD is managed by a highly experienced team of professional managers, engineers and technicians who have introduced modern systems in all aspects of production and Q.C. The annual capacity is 12000 tonnes of ductile iron castings for automobile and engineering industry plus 2400 tonnes of steel castings (valves and other engineering castings).
