At the west end of the market is Charleston's Historic Market Hall, home to the Charleston United Daughters of the Confederacy Museum. The building was built in 1841. Considered the fourth most important collection in the world, items on display include the Secession Flag, the first Confederate National Flag to fly over Fort Sumter, regimental and battle flags. Very interesting, and a nice looking building which has been renovated following damage by a hurricane.
