LST (Landing Ship: Tank) 3515 was built by Canadian Yarrow of Esquimalt, Canada in 1944 and completed in 1945. Arriving in Britain in 1946, she was too late to play any role in the War but was commissioned in 1947 as HMS Stalker and sent to Londonderry as a submarine support vessel. She was later transferred to H.M. Royal Naval Base at Rosyth in Scotland and changed hands with the sale of the base to Babcock Marine Plc in 1997. Renamed Galle on privatisation, she became surplus in 2002 and was sent to Pound's Scrapyard in Tipner where she now resides awaiting an uncertain fate.
