India's ignored Treasures at Kutch in Gujarat State.

The Kutch Fossil Park was founded by a celebrated war veteran Mohansinh Sodha, who had a keen eye for fossil hunting. For more than 40 years, he has tirelessly travelled the lengths and breadths of this region collecting fossils for display at his own PRIVATE FOSSIL MUSEUM, which is open for the public to see and appreciate. He has even discovered a new species of Sea-Cow, which has been named after him!!The species will be known as "Dommingia Sodhae".

This place is NOT listed on prominent Travel Sites/Guides, but there was a decent word of mouth publicity about it.There is no entry fee here and the establishment runs purely on donations. People have been generous to contribute now and then — the reason why the park still stands.

PS – Anyone interested may get in touch with him and donate for the worthy cause he has spent his entire life for.
