Site of the Institute of Hygiene, this building was inaugurated by King Leopold III on 31 July 1935. George Eastman set up his dental institute for poor children in Brussels in 1931 and commissioned architect of the Residence Palace (to the north east) Michel Polak to design the building along the lines of the Rochester model.
It is now used by the European Parliament.
