Camp David is the private country retreat of the President of the United states, their family and guests. Originally a camp for government agents and their families, it was converted into a Presidential retreat known as "Shangri-La" by FDR in 1942.

It is named after Dwight Eisenhower's father and grandson, both named David.

    The Camp has restricted air space overhead that any pilot with a license knows to stay well away from... Once you fly into it, the Air Force F-16's pop out of nowhere and escort you to Frederick so the FAA can gnaw on your hind quarters for a few hours before they pull your ticket to fly...and a whole lot of cash to cover the alert response for the lawn darts...
