water, reservoir
Named after the meadow the reservoir now occupies. Plants used to be harvested in the meadow which could be used as shuttles in looms.
The reservoir provides water to New Britain. Originally, the water was fed to a small reservoir on the top of Walnut Hill Park to the East. From there, the water was distributed to the rest of the downtown New Britain area.
