This bridge over River Barak was built by Gammon India Ltd. It connects Silchar town to its Airport at Kumbhirgram & also to other places like Imphal, Jiribam, Udharbond, Haflong, etc. This bridge may be regarded as the main Landmark of Silchar. Sadly, the bridge is in a very depleted condition. A new bridge has been constructed by the side of the old one and opened for traffic in the year 2018.
