Mr. Dee's has been a Lafayette Boulevard fixture for many years. Its current owners have operated the business since 1983. But it still looks like a '50s hamburger joint, with booths inside and tables outside under a sign that reads "for Mr. Dee's customers only."

It's the kind of place you could drive past for years without ever stopping in.

But stop in. It's a Fredericksburg experience.
