  i helped to build this power staion in early 60s ,,,,i was an apprentice bricklayer for R M douglas ltd,,,,,,,,,,,some great bricklayers worked there,,,,who will be dead by now,,,,,,...mr warner was site agent,,,,jimmy reilly general forman,,,,billy molinoux and wally cusack forman bricklayers,,,other bricklayers i remember,,,bernard and stan two brothers from fairfield,,ken roberts ,,,,jeff whitehouse,,,,abe watmore,, les evans,several more whose names escape me,,,,great tradesmen,,,,regards john griffin,,,,ps douglas did top class work,,,,poor workers were soon sacked,,,,,.....

  disapointed no one responded ,,,i heard jeff whiehouse is still alive living in west bromwich,,,,,looking back over a lifetime in building /brickwork...these men deserve to be in a hall of fame for bricklayers,,,,great men, i was i was on this site for 2yrs,,,i remember the deep mud,and servere cold weather,,,,,bartley green is very cold ,in winter,
