Pandoh Dam is situated in Mandi district, in the state of Himachal Pradesh in India. This resevoir has been targeted at the generation of hydroelectric generation. The lake diverts the water from River Beas and pours it into the River Sutlej.
The 13.10 km long Pandoh-Baggi tunnel of BSL (Beas-Sutlej Link) project to divert 4,716 million cubic metres of Beas waters into the Sutlej starts here and terminates at village Khiuri in an open channel that drains into a big reservoir from where the water gets into the Sundernagar-Slappar tunnel. The fall of the water into the Sutlej has been utilised for generating 990-MW hydel power in the Dehar power plant which is generating 15 million units of power daily catering to the needs of the entire region.
The entire length of the water conductor system is 38 km and it comprises two tunnels and an open hydel channel.
