McCollum Hall has Two-story Townhouses and Single-efficiency Apartment-style dorms for upperclassmen. The dormitory is one of the newer ones on the west side of campus, having been completed in 1975. It houses 199 students.

The building is named after James E. “Jim” McCollum.

McCollum is one of the tallest buildings on campus at 11 stories tall. It's literally two towers that are connected, with the elevators in the middle area. However, there are landings only on the ground floor (labeled "G"), and floors, 2, 4, 6, and 8, and 10 (which are labeled 1, 3, 5, 7, and 9 respectively). The remaining "odd" number floors house the second floor of the townhouses and mechanical equipment.
