Bayonne Graving Dock (Bayonne, New Jersey)

Built by the US Navy as part of their ship repair facilites for the Military Ocean Terminal at Bayonne (MOTBY), this graving dock measures 1092ft x 148ft, with a load capacity of 99,000 tons and is currently operated by Bayonne Dry Dock & Repair Corp.

With the construction of an IKEA leading to the filling of the graving dock at the Erie Basin, this facility is now one of two large graving docks in New York Harbor capable of handling ocean-going vessels.
