A little grid in the Tenderloin that has become the unlikely hub of South Asian food. In more than half a dozen restaurants in four square blocks, and a couple more places nearby, hip couples in de rigeur black chat on cell phones, women in saris admonish their kids, and cab drivers leave their taxis idling -- all as they down a mango lassi or a quick tandoori kebab.
