  Nice and Beautiful village in Vyassa, the literal meaning of Napalchyo in local language is consists of two words. Napal (means a breed of wheat cultivated in vyass) - and Chyo (means length equivalent to a handful circumvent i.e. length equal to perimeter of a circumvented hand). It is said this area was most fertile and suitable for local wheat cultivations accordingly the name Napalchyo were conceived. This village is situated in the valley of Napalchyu glacier which provides one richest flora fauna of this area. The surrounding area is full with chir and devdar jungles just behind and adjacent areas villages. Northern side is Gunji & Nabi village, Rongkong in West and Eastern in Kauwan Valley. There are two plateaus in Napalchyo make Yartau - Upper Napalchyo and Eikho Lower Napalchyo. Ethnically same inhabitants in both the part of village. People are very friendly and hard working in nature and speak & under stand Hindi, English, Nepali and local Rang language, However some old aged persons born before 1962 understand Tibetan language also.
