Victorian brick row houses built in 1877-1879. The homes in this area where originally rented by the Steinways to their workers. Carved stone nameplates on the corner of houses bear the streets original names, those of Steinway family members. Which where, 20th (Winthrop) Avenue, 41st (Albert) Street and 42nd (Theodore) Street.
