The Company
Solarlite GmbH is a young company established in 2005 with its headquarters based in Mecklenburg Vorpommern. Over the last few years, Solarlite have developed and are producing light weight parabolic troughs. Solarlite is active on both national and international scales. Solarlite project manages all its projects from idea conception to planning up to handover and commissioning Solarlite parabolic trough modules are installed on the grounds of Duckwitz for examination by the public at any time.
Solarlite Parabolic trough
The solarlite parabolic troughs produce steam with temperatures up to 300 ° C. It is made out of glass fibre reinforced plastic (FRP) which leads to a very lightweight design of the entire power plant.Each mirror element has a span of 2.33 m and a length of 1.0 m. The reflective surface consists of a layer of aluminium with high reflection efficiency. Solarlite parabolic troughs are installed in parallel rows. The number of mirror units depends on the required capacity of the plant. The collectors are automatically driven to follow the sun. A software calculates the optimum position of the mirror with the aid of GPS data.
Potential Applications
Solarlite technology is most economic in areas with high solar radiation levels. Moreover, the profitability, out of the use of solar generated energy in addition to the conservation of fossil energy, will significantly increase.
Process heat
The industry needs process heat which can also be partially or fully provided by solar energy. proportionally also may be manufactured. It is recommended then to use hybrid solutions in order to ensure a continuous operation.
