Moonlight Basin Ski Resort is located on Lone Mountain. The resort backs up to the older and more commonly known Big Sky Ski Resort. Moonlight Basin is a relatively new resort opening lift access to previously back country only terrain. The resort is commonly confused as being a new addition to Big Sky, however Moonlight Basin is its own resort and requires its own ticket, separate from Big Sky. Recently Big Sky and Moonlight Basin teamed up and now offer the lone peak pass which is valid at both resorts, essentially allowing you ski all 360 degrees of Lone Peak.
