The Telus Tower, originally named Union Tower, is a 30 storey office tower on the south side of the traditionally defined financial district. Anchor tenant Telus will occupy 60% of the rentable area.
The building is located at the corner of York Street and Bremner Blvd on the former brownfield railway lands, just south of Union Station. Telus Tower is connected Toronto's PATH network of underground pedestrian passageways. The building is visible from Toronto's Waterfront and is one of the many new developments in the area, including the Air Canada Centre, Maple Leaf Square and Infinity Condominium.The development achieved LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Silver status for the project's environmental sustainability. The LEED rating system recognizes leading-edge buildings that incorporate design, construction and operational practices that combine healthy, high-quality and high-performance advantages with reduced environmental impacts.
