Former Valley-Vulcan Mold and Cast plant (Trenton, Michigan)

This was a plant that manufactured ingot molds for the steel industry, but was shut down near the time McLouth Steel shut down, since Valley-Vulcan used nearby McLouth's steel. So when McLouth Steel went bankrupt for the final time, they had to get steel from Great Lakes Works. Often the steel would cool too much for it to be workable by Valley-Vulcan, pushing this plant out of service in the late 80's.
