shopping mall, department store, listed building / architectural heritage

The construction of a second Kharkiv Passage began in 1912.
This is a covered gallery with several stores, which has access to the parallel streets – in that days Horiainivskyi Lane (now Kvitka-Osnovianenko Street) and Nicholas Square (now Constitution Square).
This building was complete only in 1925.

The first project was developed by Mykhailo Piskunov, later it was redesigned by architect Oleksandr Linetskyi.

Now this is the department store called Dytiachyi Svit (Russian spelled 'Detskii Mir').
