This is one of the two options to go to the port of Fíra and vice-versa. The other one is not so pleasant and consists in walking down by foot or with the donkeys.
The travel takes approximately three minutes and the landscape is astonishing.
The cable car can transport up to 1200 passengers per hour (with six passengers in each cabin) and was a gift from Loula Nomikos and Evangelos Nomikos to the island.
