Tanza, officially the Municipality of Tanza (Tagalog: Bayan ng Tanza), formerly known as Santa Cruz de Malabón, is a 1st class highly-urbanized municipality in the province of Cavite, Philippines. According to the 2020 census, it has a population of 312,116 people. It has a land area of 95.59 square kilometres (36.91 sq mi), making it the 3rd largest municipality in Cavite.

Tanza was the place were Emilio Aguinaldo took oath as the first president of the revolutionary government of the Philippines. It is also the home town of Felipe G. Calderon, the man who drafted the first Philippine constitution.

  • take note that emilio aguinaldo is not a hero, and i believed that aguinaldo is the one who ordered to kill the leader of madiwang faction of katipunan andres bonifacio who free the citizens of sta. cruz de malabon now we called tanza and not a magdalo faction but magdiwang.. aguinaldo sucks
