Pooc is a barangay in Talisay City. In the 1920's, there were many trees in the area that bare a small fruit that attracted many black birds that made the sound "pok, pok" which became the root word of "Pooc". It is now divided into 2 parts, Pooc Diyot and Pooc Dako.
