Dumlog is a barangay in the city of Talisay. Dumlog's name originated during the coming of the Spaniards and conquistadors saw the locals playing arnis and wrestling together. When the one of the Spaniards asked what they were doing, an elder answered, "Dumog". The Spaniards could not properly pronounce the word. Since then it has been called Dumlog.
