here the politbüro of the gdr planed to build a detention camp . in the case of a rebellion or revolt of the people , the government of the gdr wanted to arrest the rebellions here . they didn't finished it until the "montagsdemonstrationen" began and so this place was never initiated . (sorry for bad english)
