Gilgit-Baltistan formerly Federally Administered Northern Areas (FANA)
On August 29th in a landmark decision, the Government of Pakistan approved on Saturday a self-governance reforms package for the Northern Areas aimed at giving it full internal autonomy, but without the status of a province, and changed its name to Gilgit-Baltistan.

And it is there not to be copied, by the way have you got permission to copy paragraphs from this certain Wikipedia editor who made the information for the Northern areas?
  • I have copy and pasted the first paragraph of the Wikipedia article to the tag - instead of the "Competing Political Claims" chapter of the article ... which is by itself disputable.

  • gilgit and baltistan is still part of jamu and kashmir.under the united nations resulations the future of kashmir is to be decided by its peoples.the struggle will continue until we reach our destination INDEPENDENT FROM INDIA>PAKISTAN.IF PAKISTAN IS SUPPORTING KASHMIRIES they should recognise kashmir as independent stsate at the U N.as they recognise bagladesh in1971.than we can sort out with INDIA.
