This bridge was built in 1943 and carries the Jefferson Davis Highway (US-1 and US-17 Business) over the Rappahannock River. The bridge connects the City of Fredericksburg with Falmouth in Stafford County. It also bridges the U.S. highway over Route 607 (King Street) in Falmouth and Caroline Street/Riverside Drive and the Rappahannock River Heritage Trail in Fredericksburg. It is a steel beam bridge with 14 spans and is 1416 feet long.
