It holds the prestige of being the first AC theatre in Chennai and holds an even higher prestige of being owned by Dr.Sivaji Ganesan and family. It now has two theatres, the second one named as Sai Shanthi. It is one of the best maintained theatres with its walls filled with photos and memorabilia of Dr.Sivaji Ganesans achievements and movie history.

  • Good to know that it is even better than those days when I as a teenager back in 1971 till 73s. For me that was my place to hangout. I sort of like going there because of Sivaji Ganesan who dropped in my hometown when he was on his way from the US as a guest( Afro-Asian best actor).He was very humble and friendly when he visited my school Mahatma Ghandi Kalasalai Sungei Siput. Perak Malaysia. A great man!
