  • Santanu Kumar Acharya's novels have a socio-political message that is not only contemporary and realistic but has a prophesy that is rare in modern and post modern writings. His works transcends the so called social realism to the realm of metaphysics with liberal use of myths and poetic symbolism that is charachteristic of high literature of epic dimensions.
  • Santanu Kumar Acharya, my most favorite writer, has published very recently a travelogue titled " Peeta Prastar Jatiya Udyan " ( Yellow Stone National Park ) after his last visit to USA, in 2008. It is not only a wonderful travelogue featuring the rare sights usually marveled at by most tourists who visit that unique place of geological mystery,in the Rockeys of North America, it offers also a surprisingly astoundig revelation that would leave the reader of this book spell bound! The medium of this revelation, a phantom like character named Going Snake, that makes the travelogue a literary classic by itself. It shows the writer's uncommon genius that pays attention to the inner voices of the mysterious nature that lies underneath, far below the grounds of the inferno known as the Yellow Stone National Park. A book that needs translation into world languages.
  • His autobiography," Mo Jeevan :Anya Eka Upanyasa" ( My Life is another novel ), 2013, is just published by his publisher Ms Grantha Mandira, Binode Bihari, Cuttack-2. It is acclaimed as one of the most outstanding piece of autobiography of our times written by an Indian novelist of eminence. Spanning some six decades of crucial historical times since 1933 to 1993 of our country the veteran writer, Santanu Acharya, has revealed the unrecorded social history of our times as no history book would like to reveal ever. .
