Sea Gate is a sub-neighborhood in the New York City borough of Brooklyn on the western end of the Coney Island Peninsula. It is a private, gated community home to a large Orthodox Jewish community.
It is regularly patrolled by the Sea Gate Police Department which was established in 1899, though the New York City Police Department has joint jurisdiction over it.
