The Assembly of the Republic (Portuguese: Assembleia da República) is the unicameral Portuguese parliament. The assembly has 230 members and is elected every four years.

Palace of St. Benedict (Lisbon)

The Palace of St. Benedict, aka Assembly of the Republic, is a huge neoclassical-style building located in Lisbon, being the headquarters of the Portuguese Parliament since the dissolution of religious orders in 1834. It was built at the end of the sixteenth century as a Benedictine monastery (Monastery of St. Benedict Health).
