TBaths - Arcade - Hourglass
We descend from the theater and continue our walk. We walk along the long portico, Doric building of the 4th century BC, which has a length of 110 meters. In this arcade staying visitors and patients of the sanctuary, who come to pray to Amphiaraos for their treatment. In specially designed rooms at both ends of the gallery, sleeping patients and the deified hero appeared in their dreams and gives health to some lucky while in most confined to advice.
At the end of the gallery, is a square building, which probably served as a bath, and it is certain that in Christian times had been turned into baths.
At this point, the east of the site was in antiquity and the entrance of the temple. Today, we enter from the west (ie follow the opposite course from the ancient pilgrims).
