Public baths of Ani (in old Armenian: Անեցվոց Բաղնեկունք) - bath buildings of Ani dated back from the reighn of king Gagik II. At 1995, 1999 and 2005 Turkish "excavations" and "restorational works" carried out in Ani. They were held with gross violations of norms of any restoration works (Lnk. 1). As a result many Armenian elements, such as coats of arms of Bagratunis', construction inscriptions in Armenian, details of bas-relief was lost forever. After that "restorations", numerous Turkish information boards appeared at the historical monuments with distorted information, where Armenian component is missing from historical chronicles, and Armenian monuments are enscribed to: Seljuk palaces, baths, carvanserays and even mosques. Currently Turkish authorities try to enroll this monument's creation to Seljuk sultan Melikşah 1st by ignoring the pre-restoration photographs testifying its Armenian origin.
