Kullamudayanur is a village with a population of about 4000-5000 people.The history of this village begins from the construction of Stanley Reservoir,a group of people who were living in the river bank of Cauvery migrated from there to here as their places submerged inside the reservoir.Kullamudayanur was first called as Moralkuttai.
Localities here are basically agriculturists and few work in local industries like JSW, Malco .
There are few shops which providing basic amenities and stationary goods.
There is a Government High School,which has produced quality citizens who hold higher ranks in government and also many computer engineers.
People here worship Lord Karuppusamy and Lord Aayanarapan as their family deity .There are few small temples for Lord Murugan, Lord Mariamman, Lord Muniappan ,Lord Karuppusamy and Lord Aayanarapan.Every year they celebrate festivals for this gods.
