Towering 15 storeys over the eastern edge of downtown this stately 'Revivalist Edwardian' office block was completed in 1912. Originally named the Standard Bank Building, its interior was renovated in 1989 with the lobby done in a vaguely art deco style. The building is currently owned by Aquilini Group and is host to multiple businesses and the consulates of Italy and Pakistan. The penthouse is occupied by New Image College of Fine Arts, a private school for theatre arts and aesthetics.
