The Mogão and their encircling hills bound an area which southern border is designated as Portela do Mogão. On the other top (northeast) there's the Mogão Cimeiro.
In the center of this territory we found the Mogão Fundeiro. The nearest town is Sardoal, capital of the municipality of the same name. In the direction of the main city, Abrantes there's Alferrarede, once a industrial center with a certain importance (olive oil and pine wood).
The distance of the Mogão to the district capital, Santarém is about 80km.
Mogão Fundeiro is a wonderful spot in the center of the country with dry mediterranean summers and cold winters. Here Nature has a magnificent and vigorous manner.
