  Its social environment and ethnic makeup is halfway between Monta Vista HS and Fremont HS.

  There are some interesting areas in the east part of the school: a Vietnam war memorial, some stone steps in front of a field, and this funny ledge with lots of bees in the summer. Also some trees that I and an acquaintance of mine climbed into to mark our initials. You might have a hard time getting into the school if you aren't a student, because the school is fenced off when it isn't in session to discourage vandalism. I heard there are hidden security cameras; sexy, huh?

  I went there in 1968-69. There were 3000 students total, and 900! in the freshman class. I felt a little bit at sea there.
