  • Urban, Urban. This area is getting very pricy.
  • this area has always been pricey from what i'm told. I used to be stationed @ WRAMC and lived in Silver Spring from 2003-2008. even then a small house with no land (small parcel) ran you half million dollars. They say California is pricey (i live there) well, i got a 4 bedroom/3bath house that's 3 yrs old and 3/4 acre in Riverside,(a large city, 320,000 peoples)just east of L.A. for $250,000. and instead of trying to travel 40 minutes to go 5 miles, i can do it in 2.
  • I grew up in Silver Spring, and in the '80s/'90s it was not pricey-it was a worn down suburb of Washington, DC without much going for it. In the early-mid '90s serious construction and revitalization took place; driving up housing prices. The recent addition of stores to Ellsworth Drive and popularity has increased prices even further.
