  it is the commercial head to the near by places like that of thengankuli 2 km far away ,were a plan for railway station is put forward,it is a junction for the karungal - thingalnagar and colachel - mulugamoodu roadways, intreting place to see is the natural blend added with the old lord siva temple,amman kovil, antoniyar church,and near by mathiravilai church,this land scape founded as a commercial place due to the connecting line between the small towns near by, here we found daily fish & vegitable market, people here are mostly the followers of hinduism and christianity in equal share,they lived here as honye comb unified colony. foods for taste:we can get bananas, fishes,jack fruit,all the needed vegitables,etc...the people here are belive in hard work and gives value to the traditional factors,augriculture is their main income source ,then modern age made people divert into many commercial visions.
