Paryshiv is an officially uninhabited and de-registered village in the Ivankiv district of Kyiv Oblast, abandoned after the Chornobyl nuclear disaster. It is located 7 km east of the former district center, the city of Chornobyl, on the left bank of the Prypiat River. As of 2020, one resident remained in the village. The exact date of the village’s establishment is unknown.
After the Chornobyl disaster, Paryshiv—one of the least contaminated villages in the exclusion zone—was almost entirely evacuated due to its remoteness from other “clean” areas. However, some residents have continued to live there, with seven families recorded as staying in the village as of 2006.
