  • WHERE IS THE HISTORICAL INFORMATION ABOUT KINGSTAND FARM, LEICESTER FOREST EAST, LEICESTER. WE WERE TAUGHT AT SCHOOL THAT JAMES 11 USED TO STAY AT THIS FARM WHEN HE HUNTED DEER. THERE IS A CELLAR AND DOWN THE CELLAR WHEN I WAS A LITTLE GIRL THERE WAS AN ARCH IN THE BRICKWORK, WHICH WAS BRICKED UP. IT IS SAID THERE IS A TUNNEL FROM KINGSTAND FARM TO KIRBY MUXLOE CASTLE. IF YOU THINK ABOUT IT THIS MAKES SENSE IF JAMES THE SECOND HUNTED DEER FROM KINGSTAND.
  • Why is there no History on Kingstand Farm? We are trying to find out Historical facts about the farm. There is a cellar with an arch way is this the beginning to a tunnel to Kirby Castle?????
  • Hello according to records this is correct and it is also rumoured that James ll kept his most prized posessions in a chamber contained within the tunnels.
  • As a member of the family or my mother a crane herself (Cranes, owners of said farm) are we allowed access to this information to pass to our children or is it just tales?!?
