Place of outstanding scientific work of Soviet and Russian philosophers, logicians and historians of philosophy.

The original building was the main house of the Golitsyn estate. The top two floors are the result of the later additions and post-revolutionary alteration of the building. The orignal building dates from the mid 18th century by the architect Savva Chevakinsky.
